HALTON HILLS (GEORGETOWN) NEIGHBOURHOODS

"DOMINION GARDENS" & "VICTORIA GARDENS"

The Dominion Gardens development was finished around 2001 on land that once was the home of the Dominion Seed House Company, which was a prominent local landmark in Georgetown for many years.  Development of this area was started by Eden Oak and later continued by Mattamy.

The townhomes of “Dominion Gardens” range from about 1100 sqft to just under 1700 sqft for the largest end unit model.  Most of the townhomes have 3 bedrooms; however, there are some 2 bedroom models.

Homes along the parameter of Dominion Gardens Drive have walkout basements and back onto Christ the King high school’s track and Dominion Gardens Park.

The townhomes on Seedhouse Lane are known as "Victoria Gardens".  These were built by Mattamy Homes and are slightly newer than Dominion Gardens.  All the units have 3 bedrooms, and either 1 or 2-car garages.  They range from just over 1100 to under 2000 sqft.  They are freeholds, but are on a Parcel of Tied Lands (known as a POTL).  As a result, they have a minor monthly fee for garbage collection, snow removal and road maintenance.

The streets in this community are Dominion Gardens Drive, Harding Street, Bradley Drive and Seedhouse Lane.  Bradley Drive and Harding Street are named after the Seed House owner, Bill Bradley and his daughter Margaret Harding.

This is a sought-after development largely due to the reasonable prices along with its central location next to the Catholic high school CTK, and Dominion Gardens Park which offers gardens, walkways, and a splash pad (rec link). This location is also close to the Superstore, Georgetown Marketplace and the GO station.
