If you like mature and quiet neighbouhoods, than you’ll probably like the Fairview area in Acton.  The neighbourhood consists of a series of streets (Cobblehill Road, Storey Drive, Berry Street, Duby Road, Kingham Road, Ransom Street & Adam’s Court) surrounding Acton’s Fairview Cemetery.

To the north of this subdivision is Fairly Lake.  A great neighborhood for children, there’s also Greenore Park & Birchway Place Parkette; along with Acton’s Catholic Elementary School, St. Joseph’s (on Mill Street).  Most of the streets have single family detached consisting of a mix of bungalows and 2-storey homes on nice large lots with garages. 

On Ransom Street, there’s a wonderful little 3-storey condo apartment building.  The units on the north side have serene views of the cemetery. Then along Kingham Road there are lots of condo townhomes with surface parking.  They are great investment for first-time home buyers and families that are downsizing.

                           
The neighbourhood is also walking distance to Rotary and Prospect Parks.  These are wonderful areas to get together for a family picnic and enjoy the view of Fairy Lake!  On a hot day, the family can enjoy the Superior Glove splash pad and even rent a canoe or kayak.  There are also walking trails and a leash-free zone.  For the active family, there’s also a playground, ball diamond and tennis court.

From this neighbourhood you can also walk to Robert Little Public School, the Acton Public Library and Main Street Shops & Restaurants.

For commuters, there’s handy access to highway 401 via highway 25, and there’s also the Acton GO Station.

The elementary schools that service this area are St. Joseph Catholic Elementary School and Robert Little Public School.

The secondary schools that service this area are Christ the King Secondary School, Georgetown District High School and Acton District High School.
