Royal LePage Meadowtowne Realty has a solution for all the pennies you have piling up in that jar at home.
Our offices are running a Penny Drive for Shelter with 50 per cent of the money raised going to Halton Women’s Place and the other 50 per cent going toward funding to add new curriculum called “Respecting Relationships” at area high schools.
The pennies are being collected in five-gallon wine jugs at our offices in Georgetown, Milton & Mississauga.
The Respecting Relationships curriculum for the high schools teaches the students about the importance of respect in all relationships.
Royal LePage’s Shelter Foundation is Canada’s largest public foundation dedicated exclusively to funding women’s shelters and violence prevention and education programs.
The company and its real estate agents are working to create safer homes and safer communities by contributing more than $10 million since 1999 to help women and children across Canada. Through donating a portion of their commission on the purchase or sale of properties the agents are helping bring hope and provide shelter for those who need it most.
Pennies, and other change is welcome, to be dropped off at Royal LePage Meadowtowne, 324 Guelph St., from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. weekdays, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. Pennies can also be dropped off at the other Royal LePage Meadowtowne offices in Milton (475 Main St. E), and Mississauga (6948 Financial Dr.).
In addition to participating in this program, I donate a portion from every commission toward the Shelter Foundation.
